We use the latest multi layer pipe constructed from cross-linked polyethylene
(PE-Xc) sandwiching a layer of aluminium. This provides supreme strength
and is guaranteed to be 100% oxygen impermeable, unlike PEX or PB pipe.
It is quick and easy to fit because it holds its shape when bent.
It is laid in a continuous loop for each zone, so there are no underfloor
joints anywhere in the system. And because it holds its shape it doesn’t
require specialist fixing materials or techniques such as grooved insulation
or aluminium spreaders.
This means the installation is not expensive or lengthy; many of our customers
reckon it takes them a third of the time to install our system compared
to a radiator system.
The pipe has a design life in excess of 50 years with higher operating temperature
and pressure parameters than PEX or PB. The inner core of PE-Xc ensures low
maintenance because it is highly resistant to furring and sludging, and is not
affected by acidic water.
This means you never need to be concerned about what is under the floor.
The pipe is manufactured to ISO9001 quality standards, and has all the relevant
UK & European approvals.
